The Crisis Center helps families in North Raleigh!

BackPack Buddies:    For January through May 2015 NRM provided 1,686 backpacks of food on weekends for students. Approximately 97 students each week received the backpacks at five schools; Green Elementary, Stough Elementary, Baileywick Road Elementary, Lead Mine Elementary and Millbrook Elementary. We do not provide backpacks during the summer.

Food Market: From January through May, 2015 NRM fed 631families impacting 1,147 individuals. Our garden is growing vegetables such as cucumbers, tomatoes, potatoes, herbs squash and zucchini – vegetables from our garden are now being harvested for the pantry.

We were able to do so because of your continued support!

North Raleigh Ministries Neighbor Services

North Raleigh Ministries strives to impact our community by "Helping Neighbors Now" when they are experiencing a crisis.  The Crisis Ministry is staffed with volunteers trained to walk through a crisis with neighbors in financial need and a neighbor's choice Market that encourages families to chose healthy nutritious foods.  A job search program assists with resume preparation and sharpening interview skills.  Many in our neighborhood are suffering and find themselves in need of assistance.

To be evaluated for assistance, an individual must bring a number of pieces of documentation to their appointment.  Call 919.844.6676 for additional information about client services.

NRM Crisis Ministry is open Monday and Thursday from 10 am to 3 pm. We are also open on Tuesday and Wednesday 10 am to 12:30 pm.

Our neighbors come to us from referrals and word of mouth. They can expect a warm welcome and to be treated with dignity and compassion. Need is evaluated by trained volunteers who meet one on one with each neighbor to assess their individual situation and develop a plan to meet their needs to the greatest extent possible. NRM helps to bridge the gap for hungry families, renters who face eviction, residents who cannot afford to pay for heat in the cold winter months. Prescription medication assistance is also considered for those who require it.
