Financial Assistance

Eligible individuals and families can receive assistance with rent or mortgage payments and utility bills. To accomplish the greatest good with the resources available, trained volunteers assess the critical needs of their neighbors and arrange for payments to be made directly to the lessors and agencies.


To Request Financial Assistance:

  • Call (919)844-6676 x158 on Mondays and Thursdays starting at 10am
  • Appointments are made in the order that they are received
  • In order to receive financial assistance, clients MUST have all of the documentation listed below


Required Documents

Please bring the following to your appointment: 

  • Valid NC drivers license/photo ID
     
  • Social security card for all household members (originals, no copies)
     
  • All current household bills (anything that is paid monthly) for the last 60 days
     
  • Copy of current signed lease or mortgage agreement
     
  • Proof of any household income for the last 60 days
     
  • Documentation of cause of crisis, like car repair, layoff, or medical bill
     

Providing as much information as you can will help us review your case as quickly as possible.

You must bring this set of documents every time you visit the Crisis Center.
